The NTP chief, Mr T. Devender Goud, demanded that TRS leaders reconsider their plans to sail with the Grand Alliance in which the CPI(M) is a member. 'The CPI(M) is categorically saying that it was against the bifurcation of linguistic states, including Andhra Pradesh. Then, how can the TRS align with the Grand Alliance?u00a0 If the TRS leaders are really committed for the cause of separate Telangana state, they should not go with the TD and Left parties,' Mr Goud said.

Meanwhile, the PR leader, Mr Pavan Kalyan, lashed out at the TRS ideologue, Prof. K. Jayashankar, by saying that the party lacked commitment over T-issue.
Taking strong exception at the remarks of Prof. Jayashankar that the PR had no clarity on Telangan, Pavan said: 'Instead of trying to achieve statehood, the TRS is thinking about only alliances.'
