The incident occurred on the busy Richmond Road on Saturday after Neelakantha, an employee in a private firm, walked back to his vehicle after withdrawing Rs 1 lakh from the bank.
Suddenly, someone puked on him from behind. The youth apologised and sped away while Neelakantha walked to a nearby tea stall to clean himself up.
A 12-year-old boy then sprinted towards Neelakantha and escaped with his cash bag. Neelakantha raised an alarm but by then, the boy had reached a bike. Riding it was the man who had puked and the two escaped. Neelakantha later filed a complaint with Ashok Nagar police station.
