Punjab legislator booked in Rs.60 crore fraud case

Police here Tuesday booked eight people, including a sitting Congress legislator from Punjab, in a Rs.60 crore cheating and forgery case


Congress legislator Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu, who represents the Talwandi Sabo assembly seat in Bathinda district, has been named in the case registered by the Chandigarh police for cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy.

Others booked in the case included Mohali couple Sukhbir Singh Shergill and his wife Gurbir Kaur, four residents of Ludhiana and one Delhi resident.

The case was registered following directions from the court.

The complainant, Raman Uppal, had alleged that the accused had cheated him of Rs.60 crore through a company called International Customer Related Management Services (ICRMS) Pvt. Ltd.
