Baljit Singh, a PCWA member, said that the future plan of action by the two groups involves meeting over 300 families in over four villages in the region of Uttarkashi namely Sangarali, Bagiyal, Simoldi and Duno.u00a0
"Over 284 kits for students containing school bags, rain coats, biscuits and water purification pills were distributed. In addition to that 300 family kits each comprising two blankets, two mattresses, two rain coats, garments, and other food items were also given to flood-struck families," said Singh.
The PCWA has chalked out a strategy to help aid reach families where male members were washed away while serving pilgrims. The welfare association has also formed links with NGOs working in the area to help aid reach victims.u00a0
