International comedian Papa Cj, is on a mission to get the whole of India on the floor with laughter under the banner Papa Cj and Friends. On Tuesday night he will introduce English comedian and ventriloquist, Paul Zerdin to Bangalore. Following his success in England, Papa Cj is interested in bringing over and working with people from across the globe, who will be able to join him in warming the hearts of Indians back home. Papa Cj says he is lucky to have such a talented comedian as Zerdin, with him on the India tour, lasting until October 15.u00a0

The pair has been on the road and in the sky since their arrival in Mumbai last Friday, jetting to other metros and just about to hit the sack to re-energise for the Kolkata performance; we caught up with a weary Zerdin on phone. He warns future viewers to expect much laughter and audience participation from his performance and some high standard ventriloquism. Zerdin and Papa Cj didn't want to give too much away on the show, in order to preserve the thrill of surprise, but we did get the man and his Sam to open up a bit.

Zerdin will have three squabbling guest puppets with him on Tuesday, whose contrasting personalities generate comical scenarios. They are a forgetful professor called Albert an old man who is deaf and senile, a bratty teenager called Sam and the proficient Baby who is led astray by the other two. The audience, are in for many revelations as Paul says, "The front row are not safe." The crowds in India are responding well to Zerdin's sense of humour as he explains, "It's my first time in India. We did the show last night in Delhi and the audience was fantastic."

Zerdin has already done tours in Las Vegas, Cape Town, Shanghai, Beijing and the UK all in 2009. His 2009 show at the esteemed Edinburgh Fringe Festival being completely sold out was glorified in reviews. Involved in a variety of different jobs on TV adverts and having worked for eleven years in pantomime, the show is likely to be unique and dynamic. Having also preformed in major cities globally with sell out tours, Zerdin learnt the act from a book 'I want to be a ventriloquist'. He believes Papa Cj to be a fantastic person describing him as a, "warm comedian adding a good mixture to the show."

Our work compliments each other. Papa Cj will be warming up the audience briefly for fifteen minutes, and then the pair will team up to end on a high with a big dance number. Following their performance earlier, Papa Cj commented that the people were "in shock and in awe of the sheer skill of the man, they literally had their jaws on the floor." So, whether it is shock or laughter you are after, Paul Zerdin is likely to provoke some kind of ecstasy in the room.
