The contents of the 4,000-page charge sheet, filed by the ATS in the September 29 Malegaon blast case, has revealed shocking details. According to the charge sheet, the principle accused Lieutenant Colonel Shrikant Purohit wanted to propagate a separate Hindu Rashtra "for the freedom of Hindus".

It further states that Purohit had formulated a new constitution, with its aims and objects termed as Bharat Swarajyam Surajya, and Surakhsha in its preamble.

The charge sheet also states that the members of this organised crime syndicate wanted to adopt a saffron-based flag as its national flag. The length of the flag is twice its breadth with an ancient golden torch (Bhagwa Dhwaj) embossed on it, surrounded by a golden border.

The police have also retrieved conversations held between Purohit, another accused Sudhakar Dwivedi and retired major Ramesh Upadhyay, promoting a new Hindu Rashtra and Hindutva.

In one such conversation, Purohit told Dwivedi, "We will fight the constitution. We will fight this nation, this nation is not ours. This government was never ours, never will be. We will fight for the freedom of the Hindus."
In 2007, Purohit along with the other accused had floated an organisation called Abhinav Bharat to act as a front with the intention to propagate the Hindu Rashtra across the country.
