Queensland's hunt for an island caretaker could end in Bangalore, but it all depends on our votes.
Radio One RJ Anjaan is among the top 50 shortlisted from nearly four lakh entries from around the world, for what is touted as the 'World's Best Job' by Queensland tourism. The only other person selected from India is television anchor Kim Jagtiani from Mumbai.
Along with the application, Anjaan was required to make a video about himself. "I made a video in which I was swimming everywhere. I was swimming on the road, in the park, on a railway track, everywhere," he said.
Anjaan will now go to the next level where 11 will be selected. The winner will be chosen fromu00a0 among them.
"If I win, I get to stay on the island for six months. I may have to clean a pool and feed the fish. I can even take my friends and family there. For all this, I get paid Rs 50 lakh," he said.
But to win, Anjaan needs votes. "I've always been taught to aim for the stars to reach the sky. I did just that and here is a chance for you to help me realise my dreams. Your two minutes could help me win," he said.
