While Rajappa is recovering gradually, his condition is not completely normal as his blood continues to test positive for poisoning.
However, the Bar Council does not appear too keen to help Rajappa. "First of all, we don't have enough funds, and it would be wrong and shameful on our part if we tried to extend monetary support. Moreover, our minds continue to be blank since the incident.
We have not really thought about the incident. While we have funded eye and heart operations in the past, we may not have the funds," said Putte Gowda, President, Bar Council.
Sources revealed that Rajappa's family is not in a position to clear the hospital bill.u00a0"As his family can't clear the bills, the police plans to have him shifted to Victoria or Bowring hospital after consulting hospital authorities."
Other than Rajappa father, who visited the hospital on Monday, no relative has enquired after him at the hospital so far.
Commodore Indru Wadhwani, president, Mallya hospital, said, "Rajappa is gradually improving. However, he continues to be on ventilators in the ICU.
He was brought to our hospital in a very critical condition. We managed to saved his life. While we are not worried about the bills, we are certainly worried for his life.
Fourteen people were admitted to our hospital on April 17 following the Bangalore bomb blast. We treated all of them but we have not been paid so far," said Wadhwani.
