Petulant star gives journalists a earful despite sauntering into press meet over an hour late
Journalists had been invited for a press meet at The Chancery at 1 pm yesterday by Ramprasad, producer of Jothegaara, to interact with the cast and crew. Though everyone else was present, Ramprasad insisted that they wait for the actress.
When she sauntered in at 2:15 pm, one journalist asked her why she was late.
It didn't go down too well with the actress who went on the offensive, saying nobody had forced them to wait for her.
"I was invited for the lunch. If you don't want to wait for me, you can leave," she said.
The insulted scribes said they would not say if Ramya did and asked her to apologise.
But Ramya refused. "I won't," she said. "It's not my fault and this has not even been arranged by me," she added.
Ramprasad intervened, saying, "I apologise instead of Ramya since I invited you for the press meet."
The cast and crew later shared some of their experiences. All, of course, except the miffed Ramya.
Actor Prem, who's playing the lead role in Jothegaara, said he had a problem with the remuneration but would pursue the issue after the film release.
