On the occasion of the 69th Republic Day of India, All India Radio (AIR), for the first time, will be part of the parade at the Rajpath in the national capital. AIR will showcase it's tableau, depicting the journey of more than eight decades in the 'domain of public service, promotion and preservation of socio cultural and linguistic heritage'. Briefing media in New Delhi this afternoon, Director General of AIR Fayyaz Shehryar, on Thursday, said, 'AIR Signature Tune, Vande Mataram and other musical instruments will be played while AIR tableau move on at Rajpath.'
'The tableau will showcase Mahatma Gandhi's maiden and only broadcast on AIR, traditional radio set, diverse listeners, AIR's symbiotic relationship with luminaries of Indian Music and heritage building of AIR Broadcasting house,' he continued. Adding, 'AIR has produced an iconic song for Republic Day on the theme of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat with singers drawn from all regions of the country.'
