Road accident claims three lives

Late last night, a husband-wife and their seven-year-old son lost their lives in an accident at Kesurdi Phata, about 60 kilometres away from Pune, on the Satara-Pune Highway.

The three deceased were later identified as Anjay Kenjale (35) his wife Gauri (28) and son Aditya (7).

The residents of Sortewadi from Baramati district died when the car collided with the road divider.


The identification was made by the Shirwal police with the help of relatives.

Santosh Kenjale, the cousin of the deceased said that the three were going to a hospital from Lonand to Pune when the mishap occurred.
Two injured

Two men Sampat Jadhav (45) and Suren Aadal (22)u00a0 were injured in a car accident at Kirti Chowk on Laxmi road around 12.15 am. According to eyewitnesses, Jadhav was on his way home from Bajirao Road in his car when he hit Aadal's car. Both the cars were in speed and lost control while applying brakes respectively.They sustained injuries to their arms and legs.The Vishrambaug police took them to the police station for inquiry.
