Srikanth K P, a techie working with a citybased MNC, was astonished to find that someone had withdrawn Rs 19,000 from his bank account, despite the ATM being with him. In his complaint with the Commercial Street police station, Srikanth said that the day he received his salary in March, he withdrew Rs 1,000 from an ATM in Majestic area.

However, the next day, he got an SMS alert stating a withdrawal of Rs 9,000 from his account. Before he could realise what happened, heu00a0 received another message informing that a sum of Rs 10,000 has been deducted from his account.
Srikanth immediately checked and found that the ATM card was with him. Without wasting any time, Srikanth called up the banks customer care and filed a complaint. The Commercial Street police, who have taken up the complaint, said that they have sought the transaction details from the bank along with the CCTV footage of the ATM. We will decide upon the further course of action only after verifying the transaction details, the police said.
