The Noida police had to spend Rs 4 lakh of the taxpayers' money on preserving the bodies of two Pakistani terrorists Ali Mohammed and Abu Ismail for five months before burying them on Sunday.

The two ultras were killed by the Noida ATS in an encounter while they were entering Delhi, a day before Republic Day.


After forensic examination, the bodies were transferred to the Noida morgue in Sector 94 where they were kept in deep freezers donated by the local chemist association.

The copsu00a0 spent Rs 30,000 on running the generators for the freezer and Rs 70,000 were spent on electricity bills and miscellaneous expenses.

The Noida cops wrote to the Pakistani authorities to claim the bodies, but they denied saying that the terrorists were not from Pakistan.
