Muzaffarpur/Patna: A complaint was filed in a local court on Thursday against Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya for his remarks against people sleeping on roads and pavements while expressing solidarity with actor Salman Khan in the hit-and- run case.
Advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha filed the complaint in the court of Muzaffarpur Chief Judicial Magistrate Ved Prakash Singh against Abhijeet. Ojha, who would argue his own case, said the matter would come up for hearing in the CJM's court on Friday.
The complainant claimed that he had been hurt by the 'derogatory' remarks of the singer which he saw on TV channels and decided to seek punishement for him from court.

In a series of tweets, Abhijeet had yesterday said "Come out fraternity, support @BeingSalmanKhan boldly not hypocriticly Roads footpath r not meant 4 sleeping, not driver's or alcohol's fault." "Roads are meant for cars and
dogs not for people sleeping on them."
Meanwhile, in Patna, a senior leader of Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) of union minister Upendra Kushwaha, which is an ally of BJP in NDA, on Thursday demanded registration of a case of treason against Abhijeet. RLSP general-secretary-cum spokesman Manoj Lal Das Manu in a statement alleged that through his 'despicable' remarks, singer Abhijeet had 'mocked' not only at the poor but the entire country for which a case of treason be registered against him.
