Two persons who killed the owner of a private school in New Friends Colony area of southeast Delhi were arrested by the police on Sunday. Cops said that the main accused Rahul Sharma, a friend of the deceased Deepak, had taken a loan from him and was refusing to repay it over which argument broke out between them.u00a0
A senior police official said that the other accused has been identified as Rajkumar (28). The incident was reported on July 12. The deceased, Deepak (27) was a resident of Taimoor Nagar in the area.
He had given some loan to the accused person. On July 12 Deepak went to meet Rahul to get his money back. Rahul refused to repay the debt. The duo then had an argument. Things got heated up. In a fit of rage Rahul called his employee Rajkumar and together they thrashed the victim with an iron rod.
Beaten to death
"Deepak suffered severe injuries to his head and collapsed on the floor writhing in pain. The two accused fled from the crime scene. Police were called and the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment. An FIR of murder was registered at NFC police station," said a police official.
The deceased used to run Lakkhi Public School at Taimoor Nagar. "Both the accused have been arrested and they had some financial dispute with the deceased. Further investigation is in progress," said Ajay Chaudhary, additional commissioner of police, southeast district.
