Although Seolekar was booked under various sections of the IPC, he was released on a personal bond of
Rs 15,000 within a couple of hours. Seolekar had already procured an interim bail till December 31.

On Saturday evening, Seolekar visited Sakaal office to apologise for his behaviour towards the journalists whom he had allegedly assaulted at his residence. As he reached there, a group of journalists tried to stop his car.

Seolekar, in his statement to the police, said that the journalists tried to attack him but he did not hurt anyone. Meanwhile, Bhoite claimed, "When we tried to stop him, he asked his driver to run over us." Senior PI Motichand Rathod, said, "Although Seolekar had got an anticipatory bail, it doesn't mean he shouldn't be arrested."
