Rock band Pentagram starts offu00a0a series of web episodes for their fans on their website
One of the most popular rock bands in the country, Pentagram, is yours to watch on the web. The band's been making waves in the industry since 1994, and this is their endeavour to connect with their fans, behind the scenes.
The series of webisodes will be screened under the banner of PentaTV on their website. PentaTV will have episodes on the band, their music, recordings, gigs, behind-the-scenes of music video shoots, planning the launch of their upcoming album 'Bloodywood' and also how the four spend their idle time. The episodes have been conceptualised, produced and directed by Samira Kanwar, of Babble Fish Productions.
The idea is to let fans get to know the band members in person. All you crazy fans can now get a glimpse of the individual quirks of the rock stars. From Papal's chai addiction and Randolph's quirky wardrobe to Shiraz's love for bikes and Vishal's pithy sense of humour -- you get to see it all on Penta TV. Adds Vishal Dadlani, "The episodes will be a great way to connect with our fans, who will get to see us beyond our performances. And as we are working on our fourth album, the episodes will give our fans the chance to see the making of the album and everyone who is involved in the making of it."
Bands aren't just about music. And that is what Samira is here to show.u00a0 "There is so much to talk about Pentagram as they are a popular and respected band. They have been together for so long and there were lots that we could show. The idea was create some beyond music video," she said.
The website is currently showing two episodes and the third one will be uploaded in the next few days. The episodes will be updated after every ten days. How do the band spend time, when a gig is cancelled and there's impromptu leisure time? Find out when the third episode is uploaded.
What's next for Pentagram? Bloodywood, of course. "The album will reflect the urban edge of India. It's about India's underlying urban culture, apart from Bollywood.
We want to speak to the world in a global language."
