These are busy days for every news media editor. Whether it's a newspaper, newsmagazine, news channel or news website, editors and editorial executives are up to their neck with work.

So it was a pleasant surprise to see India TV founder, chairman and editor-in-chief Rajat Sharma as the guest on ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil' last Saturday. It was interesting to find one Sharma (Rajat) put the other Sharma (Kapil) in the dock, a la Aap Ki Adalat and later reverse roles.

I have seen Rajat Sharma having some fun with his guests on Adalat, but on Comedy Nights, save a moment when he recalled his early days, it was a laugh riot.

There was the Daadi calling him Rajjo and the Bhua wanting to get married to him and Palak with her usual ‘her' antics... it was nice to see Rajat Sharma doing the show. It did of course offer an excellent opportunity for India TV to get plugged several times over. But the fact that he does an Aap Ki Adalat makes it easier for him to be slotted in a Comedy Nights or Bigg Boss, but I wonder if Colors' sibling IBN's editors like Rajdeep Sardesai, Vinod Dua, Sanjay Pugalia or Sagarika Ghose would make it to Kapil Sharma's guestlist.

If the producers were to invite Arnab Goswami though, I am certain he will take the offer and having seen him live at a few events in the recent past, he'll do pretty well.

Sanjay Jha award to...
At sometime in the run-up to the elections or immediately after the results, I am going to do a Noose Night Awards, but here's a mid-term special medal to Meenakshi Lekhi who successfully shouted out Sanjay Jha last night on Super Newshour or Super Primetime or whatever it's called, that even Jha objected to the condescending tone of Lekhi's attack on Sonia Gandhi's video statement. It's the ‘Sanjay Jha Award for Most Belligerent Spokesperson'. Taaliyaan!
