It took the Indiranagar police 18 months to realise that the complainant was the murderer. And the clue to the mystery was in the bullets pumped into the chest of the murdered man, director of an event management company.

Police have nabbed 30-year-old Sanjana Muthanna and Raja Afroz for murder and conspiracy.

Based on the forensic report, the police managed to trace the gun to Afroz, manager of a security firm.

Afroz confessed that Sanjana, his neighbour, had confided in him about her love for her boss Madhusudhan Arvindakshan (38).

And how he was two-timing her by having an affair with her colleague, Roopa.

Raja promised to help her and lent his licensed .32 revolver along with bullets. On July 10 last year, Sanjana entered Madhusudhan's office, pumped three bullets into his chest and escaped, police said.

Sanjana later joined a reputed newspaper as the DGM (advertising) and lived with her techie husband for some months before moving to her hometown Attur in Gonikoppa, Coorg district.

Police tracked Sanjana to her in-laws house where she was staying after getting to know that Afroz had been picked up by the police.
