Delhi Chief Minister will be the face of the agenda of development in poll campaign
When it comes to flooring the opposition nobody does it better than Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit.
She has done it over three successive terms and has emerged as the face of the development agenda of the party.

To catch a star: Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit |
Now, when even the BJP is mulling to sideline its Hindutva plank that failed them in the last general elections, Dikshit is all set to give the strategists in the saffron party some sleepless nights.
The Delhi chief minister will lead the party campaign in both Haryana and Maharashtra apart from the Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and party general secretary Rahul Gandhi.
Both the states have a huge base of urban voters and party insiders believe that Dikshit is the perfect face to woo them.
In fact, her name is listed above Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Ashok Chavan incumbent chief ministers of Haryana and Maharashtra respectively.
While the Dikshit is 16th, Hooda is at 24th while Chavan has been placed at 28th in the list of star poll campaigners submitted to the Election Commission by the party for Haryana and Maharashtra. However, the Delhi chief minister's name is missing from that of Arunachal Pradesh.
While Sheila Dikshit will be the only chief minister from the Congress-ruled states to campaign in Maharashtra, party MP Priya Dutt's name finds mention only in Arunachal Pradesh.
Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot will join Dikshit in canvassing votes in Haryana.

"One of the prime factors considered while enlisting the names of star campaigners is the face value and the personality of the leader. Dikshit, no doubt, is the front-runner among the present lot of chief ministers of the Congress-ruled states," a senior Congress leader said, requesting anonymity.
However, he added that the rank on the list does not necessarily reflect the position of the leader in the party.
"The state unit of the party decides who should be called in their respective states for campaigning," he

Apart from the top three Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi the only leader who features in the list of star campaigners for all the three states is Youth Congress president and Member of Parliament Ashok Tanwar.
