Thane: Maharashtra Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde on Sunday said the party will bear medical expenses of the woman, who was pushed out of a moving train by a man.
On June 16, 22-year-old Rekha Navale was pushed out of the Mumbai-bound Gorakhpur Express by a man after she and other women objected to his entering the ladies coach , Railway Police had said.
Rekha is admitted to the Fortis Hospital in Kalyan in the district, where she was visited by Shinde, who is the also the guardian Minister for Thane. The accused Dinesh Yadav was arrested and remanded in police custody till June 20, inspector Datta Vable of Dombivli police had said.
"The Sena will bear all the medical expenses of Rekha Navale," Shinde was quoted as saying in statement issued here. Shiv Sena, formed on June 19, 1966, is celebrating its 50th foundation day on Sunday.
"The (Shiv) Sena was born for lending a helping hand to the needy and it also appreciates those who do good work," the Minister said.
