The Delhi Police on Thursdayu00a0 questioned a 23-year-old girl in connection with the murder of Shobhit Modi that took place in Vasant Kunj area of South Delhi on May 5. The police said that she had given some vital clues regarding the murder. "She was called for questioning after scrutinising the call details of the deceased. A team is working on the statement she gave to the police," said a police official.

Sources with south Delhi police however said that a girl ( not the one called for questioning) was a suspect in the case as the deceased had spurned a proposal of a girl some time back and she might have hired criminals to murder him.
DCP (South), Chhaya Sharma said that weapon used in crime has not been recoveredu00a0 so far. Twelve teams have been pressed into the investigation. Cops on Tuesday interrogated his girlfriend's father RN Badhwar in connection with an allegation that he was threatening Shobhit to stay away from his daughter Sana (name changed).
"Shobhit's family had complained that he used to call him on his cellphone to threaten him as he did not like the relationship between Sana and Shobhit. Sana's father had told Shobhit that he knew senior officials in the Crime Branch and that he should be ready to face dire consequence if he did not severe relations with Sana," said a police official.
Shobhit was found lying in a pool of blood near Gate number 3 in C-5 area of Vasant Kunj (north) on Thursday at around 9:40pm by Teknath, a security guard of the area.
