Disappointed by Mumbai's lack of imagination when it comes to gifting, TV actor Nisha Sareen decided to take on the challenge of packaging sentiment
"Flowers, chocolates, handbags are all good gifts, but if the sentiment doesn't come through, it's just a waste of money," says Nisha Sareen of personalised gifting service Gifteria.

One of the ways to ensure that the sentiment comes through is presentation, believes Nisha who has managed to convert just about everything from magazine racks to plastic buckets into exciting gifts. One of the best things about her packaging, feels Nisha, is that her gifts don't come with business labels, thus ensuring the gifts have a personalised feel.
Like, not love you
Gifteria also does "break-up hampers." "The idea is to make the other person feel better," says Nisha. The customised hampers can include anything from 'You Deserve Better' mugs and spa vouchers to romance novels and comfort food. "You could even send a dartboard with your picture on it... that could be cathartic," offers Nisha.
Her 'Recreating Memories' hamper can include childhood photographs and mementos with beautiful memories attached to them and personal notes that pledge the gifter's appreciation for the recipient. Now, who would not be moved to tears by this gesture of love, even if it does come with a price tag! Hampers are designed to suit individual budgets but cost a minimum of
