When this week's Rate The Story And Win a Meal Contest winneru00a0 Amardeep Singh walked in for his free Friday dinner at Metro Maharani with wife Guneet and five-year-old princess Harsheen, excitement and anticipation were evident from their faces. They had a gala time, and made sure we had it, too!
'Meat' the winners
The guests started with Reshmi Kebab, Murgh Malai Tikka and Chilly Chicken. As the couple talked about the changing face of journalism and the charms of the capital, the disinterested kid got off mom's lap to explore the eatery. Picking the menu card to order the main course, Amardeep said, "I don't know how people can survive on vegetables. Given a chance, I would prefer to have non-vegetarian for every meal!" So, it was obviously Murgh Makhani and Mutton Rahra with chicken fried rice that were rolled in.
Paper don't preach
Like most young entrepreneurs in the capital, Amardeep, too, flips through the pages of MiD DAY for his dose of masaledar tadka. "I don't want my newspaper to be a preacher of right or wrong. I want an entertaining newsbreak, and that's where MiD Day does the trick."
