The boy was crushed to death under a speeding private school bus
A six-year-old boy was crushed to death by a speeding private school bus in Dwarka, Sector-23, on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (south-west), A K Ojha, said the incident was reported at11 am by a passerby.
The deceased, identified as Ankit Kumar, was a resident of a nearby area. He was a student of a special project for slum children, Shiksha Kendra, run by Mount Carmel Society in Dwarka, Sector-23.
"A speeding Swaraj Mazda bus hit Ankit. He fell on the road and got caught under the vehicle's wheels. He was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. The errant bus driver abandoned the vehicle and fled," said Ojha.
The bus was registered under the name of Ram Secondary Public School situated in Bapdola village.
