Been long since you had a hearty laugh? Mr Prime Minister comes to the rescue! A cartoon exhibition, organised jointly by the Kerala Cartoonists' Association and the Press Club of India, put up on show some rib-tickling avatars of Dr Manmohan Singh during his eventful five-year tenure. One hundred and twenty-three from among the 500 aspirants were shortlisted for the grand affair, and tomorrow, the PM will receive the compilation as a get-well-soon present.
"When America started drawing Obama, we realised cartoons aren't taken seriously here at home. That's when we thought this would be a great pill for Dr Singh and all of us to beat stress and illness," said Pushpendra, general secretary, Press Club of India. Here are a few of the hilarious ones.
