T.G.I.F. is a cool place to hang out after office while grabbing a bite. More so, with its festive menu
We have written at length in these pages on the borrowed concept of diners. While in the West, diners are cheap highway joints where Johnnies go for a quick meal, in India they are exorbitantly priced. But gullible fools that we are, we end up paying a bomb for stale food and cheap beer!
You can spread yourself oneself on their expansive sofas, watch TV and
nibble into their delectable offerings
There are some noteworthy exceptions. T.G.I.F. is one. It's always fun to be in one of their outlets, spread oneself on their expansive sofas, watch Man U play Chelsea on the plasma and nibble into their delectable offerings while sipping a signature cocktail.u00a0u00a0
This Monday as TGIF unwrapped its festive menu, we made sure we did not miss it for the world. On till 30th of this month, all T.G.I.Friday's restaurants in the country would be offering a five-course special festive menu which would include starters , soups, sorbets, the main course and dessert.
A glass of Sangria -- Red/White or an aerated beverage would also be served. How could we miss it! In the starters try their Chicken Roulade and Bruschetta Canapes. For the soup, we ordered Chicken Consomme and Cream of Tomato. Try their mouth-watering Turkey Platter with Grilled Zucchini and Roasted Potato/ Pasta Penne with Mushroom and Herbs.
After such a big meal, there was no space for dessert, but we did try their apple pie and highly recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit one of their outlets. So why Fridays, go visit T.G.I.F. any day of the week you want and chill. For us cubicle creatures, there's hardly a better option.u00a0
