The community, 'Illegal Posters Hatao' on the social networking website is rather garnering a lot of supporters from the youngsters in the city. Pledging to clear Pune's skyline of illegal and ugly hoardings, socialite and entrepreneur Tehseen Poonawala along with his brother Shezad founded this community, that has 390 members supporting their cause.u00a0
Even though Pune Municipal Corporation continues to lose money because of the illegal hoardings in the city, locals claim that rare action is taken against the offenders. This initiative has received support from who's who in the city, as they have voiced their concern to remove the hoardings with immediate effect.
After gathering the overwhelming response Poonawala duo have also launched a website-www.zeroposters.com.u00a0 An opinion pole conducted on the website showed close to 4000 people raising their discontent of having illegal hoardings in the city.
One of the community member, Vineet Goyal, acclaiming the initiative, published that as a responsible citizen he would like Pune to look more clean and fresh.
Tehseen Poonawala told MiD DAY, "We have filed RTI and are waiting for a reply, following which we will file Public Interest Litigation."
Stressing that, common citizens of Pune detest hoardings so much that almost 4000 people have voted to remove the hoardings in the city in last three days.
