Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee delegates list announced
Party politics may wait but leaders from across the political spectrum are known to put family first, especially when it comes to doling out posts and poll tickets.

The selection of the new delegates for the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) was no different. Sons to sister-in-laws of senior party leaders have found place in the list. However, the fresh list has given a new dimension to the polarity of the party in the state. With majority of delegates to the incumbent state unit chief Jai Prakash Agarwal it might be a foregone conclusion that he has a strong chance of getting an extension.
Son of Congress leaders Sajjan Kumar, Choudhary Prem Singh and Tajdar Babbar have found place in the delegates list. Union minister Krishna Tirath also managed to get her daughter included in the list. Sister-in-law of Yoganand Shastri, Sudesh Sangwan is also and Suresh Sharma, another delegate, is closely associated with Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar.
In view of the election of the state unit chief and the formation of the Executive Committee, finalisation of the list of the Pradesh Congress Committee delegates was mandatory. "Out of 140, about 130 delegates have been finalised. The rest will be finalised soon," said a DPCC office bearer.
