Delhi police may not have had much success in cracking the Jama Masjid terrorist attack case, but the probe is proving to have other benefits. On Thursday the Special Cell arrested a contract killer from the notorious Anwar Thakur gang.

Different teams of the Special Cell of Delhi police are hunting for the Jama Masjid case perpetrators and are arresting and interrogating every possible suspect in the city. It was clearly indicated in the case that local elements are involved. So the cops are hunting for each and every history-sheeter and small or big criminal in the Capital. |
What happend on september 19 |
On that day, two gunmen on a motorcycle fired at a tourist bus near Gate 3 of the Jama Masjid in old Delhi and injured two Taiwanese tourists. The incident provoked fears about security for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Delhi. About three hours later a car parked approximately 150 metres from the spot caught fire, apparently caused by a minor blast. |
