Labourers run over near Lodhi Colony in south Delhi, culprits nabbedTwo people were killed and eight injured when a speeding Honda City rammed into a group of labourers in Lodhi Colony area of Delhi last night. The incident was reported at around 11pm on Sunday when many labourers were repairing a flyover near Lodhi Colony and the Honda City (no. DL 3C BE 4414) crashed into them.

in Lodhi Colony area of south Delhi.Two of the labourers were declared brought dead by doctors at the AIIMS Trauma Centre. The person who was driving the car and his co-passenger have been detained by the police and the car has also been seized. The police are investigating the case.
"We are interrogating the driver of the Honda City and his friend. After the interrogation we will take appropriate action against the accused," said a police officer.
Three of the injured labourers are said to be in critical condition and the rest of those injured are being treated at the AIIMS Trauma Centre.
"The car was running at very high speed and it lost balance at the spot where the road was being repaired. There were signboards of 'Men at Work' near the site but the driver could not see the boards and he ran into the labourers. Following the mishap, the two persons came out of the car. Then we called the police and informed about the incident. The scene was horrible, at least 8 persons were injured and they were crying out in pain," said Ramdin, a labourer and an eyewitness.
