Food
The menu here is a combination of American, Mexican, Italian and Indian cuisines. Home-made dips served with American starter Shirley's Curley fries (veg - Rs 95 and non-veg - Rs 150) and Chicken strips (Rs 175) make for great starters. This apart, you'd relish the generous serving of the classic Caesar Salad (Rs 125) and the Beijing Olympian Chicken Salad (Rs 145), apart from Mexican delights like Quesadilla (Rs 175), Potato Tandoored and Drumsticks (Rs 175). If you're feeling famished, opt for the Kung Pao Chicken (Rs 195), Penne Pasta (Rs 225) or Charlie's Home made Chimchingas tortillas (veg- Rs 225 non-veg - Rs 295). You may also dig into Indian preparations like Kadhai Paneer (Rs 245) and Mutton Rogangosh (Rs 295). The non-oily section includes Kung Fo Tofu (Rs 160) and Fish Tikka Kolkatta (Rs 225). To sweeten things up, try the Mokka Mud Slinger (Rs 175) or Flaming Walnut Brownie (Rs 175). There is also an array of ice reams too choose from.
Drinks
Here, we're bound to raise a toast. "There is a drink for everyone. No one would complain," assures Rajeev Arora, general manager. The signature drink here is Beer Buzzers (Rs 200), which is available in refreshingly different flavours. Among the usuals, there are a wide variety of shots and tequilas. Teetotalers can go in for mocktails like Safe On The Beach, Superstars Energiser and Guava Punch served at a pocket-friendly Rs 125 each.
Ambience
Superstars keeps up to its sporty spirit with red-tinted interiors, three giant LCD screens, a bike, a gaming console and scattered tennis balls. All said and done, the place has many areas where it can improve. For instance, the service needs to quicker. Barring Tuesday, the in-house DJ Vineet belts out the latest commercial and English music from 8 pm to 1 am.u00a0 Cricket and football matches are screened as and when they happen, guy gangs buzz around without a care and the sound of merry laughter is contagious enough for you to forgive the finer flaws. Sports buffs, welcome to a new hangout.
