The attack has made the private security in the Art of Living (AoL) ashram both uneasy and a little relieved, it seems.

The state is taking no chances, and has decided to beef up the existing security. Speaking to MiD DAY, the private security guards said that the police security is necessary to keep the ashram safe.
Currently, over 60 private security persons watch the ashram and claim that it is difficult to keep an eye on the entire premises, because at any given time, only 30 guards are on duty and the ashram is always abuzz with thousands of devotees.
Most of the security persons standing near the gates and doors believe that it is impossible to provide personal security to both Sri Sri and the devotees.
When our team visited the ashram at midnight, over 70 police personnel were present. |
