A street play and PowerPoint presentations were used to spread awareness about the several cyber crimes that happen.

The programme happened in the evening and senior officials were present to interact with the students. Around 500 students from various colleges came to watch the street play.

Police Inspector (Crime) SP Patil from the Deccan police station said a street play was the best way to reach out to students. "The idea is to spread the message to the students.

We have taken the medium with which they will be able to connect," he said.

The city police and DSCI (Data Security Council of India) - NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Company) have organised a Cyber Safe Week for school and college students and others residents.

"We have tried to get as many students as we can because awareness is important," Abhijeet Chowdhary of Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya said.
