A few hours drive from the capital will transport you into another world. Game? Head to witness the works of Sufi saints from across India, Iran, Egypt and Africa at the Nagaur Sufi Music Festival 2009. Read on to see what lies in store.
The eagerly awaited event will feature Sufi experts like Ustad Shujaat khan, Mohamed Farghaly, Kailash Mehra Sadhu, Kachara Khan, Sheikh Al Tohamy and Sufiana Mausiqi. Held under starlit skies, the event will recreate the charm of a bygone era in the little-known town of Nagaur, that has lived throughu00a0 an enchanting amalgamation of Rajputana's rich heritage and Sufi fervour over the centuries.
So much to seeDon't worry about the accommodation. To add to the whole feel, visitors who've travelled from far will be housed in royal tents within the fort. Since the show is scheduled for the night, you can tour Bikaner, which is just two hours away from the venue. If that doesn't sound convincing enough, you may walk down to the world famous Nagaur cattle fair.
