Two days after AIADMK supremo Jayalalitha Jayaram captured a historic three-fourths majority in the 2011 Tamil Nadu assembly elections, inflicting a shattering blow to its principal rival, the DMK-Congress alliance, congratulations have been pouring in from all quarters.

Rajinikanth's daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya visited Jayalalithaa's house in Poes Garden, even as the Congress got into a huddle to decide their next move. The Election Commission also announced on Saturday that the 14th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly is likely to have 17 women legislators from different parties including the AIADMK chief and possible Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
