According to sources, the India Against Corruption (IAC), the group spearheading the anti-graft movement, has finalised the venue in Mumbai and paid Rs 30 lakh for it.u00a0
Anna Hazare, who is currently at Ralegansiddhi, said that the agitation will take place as planned. "I am not satisfied with the government's draft of the Lokpal Bill. This is not my agitation alone, but the agitation of the common man," he added.u00a0
Arvind Kejriwal, a member of Anna's core committee, said, "We are not interested inu00a0knowing about the extended winter session for the discussion on the Lokpal Bill. We are concerned about the final draft of the Bill. We want a decentralised Lokpal Bill, which will benefit aam aadmi." Kejriwal, however, said that the agitation would be called back if the Bill is satisfactory.u00a0
Suresh Pathare, personal assistant to Anna Hazare, said that Kejriwal would be joining Anna for the three-day hunger strike. "Nothing has been confirmed from Kiran Bedi, Prashant Bhushan and Manish Sisodia. We are also looking out for another venue in Mumbai, apart from the MMRDA grounds," he added.
Villagers to take part in Mumbai fast
MANY villagers from Ralegansiddhi have decided to support Hazare and go to Mumbai to participate in the agitation on December 26. Sanjay Pathade, a school teacher from the village, said, "In the Gram Sabha, we will decide how many people will be going to Mumbai. Apart from that, Anna himself will guide us and give us a detailed plan about the agitation for the villagers."u00a0B B Somani, city coordinator of IAC, also confirmed that several members would be going to Mumbai to support the anti-graft movement.
