He also mentioned the use of technology for reward and recognition purposes. Tojo Jose in his address to the delegates said that although technology was an important part for the growth of the HR department, high technology should not replace high touch and the concept of having a conversation with your boss should not become obsolete.
The main highlight of the day was the panel discussion which discussed evolving paradigms in measuring leadership success. The panelists raised some very important questions like, who judges leadership success, is it the larger market or a team put together as well as is a leader that works for the short term success of the company work or the opposite. The delegates also drew number of parallels between different leaders like Steve Jobs and San Patroda.
The sub-themes of day two mostly revolved around building inclusive cultures in companies like a new generation workforce in ageing companies and reigniting the role of HR. The two-day conference conducted by ISB&M in association with MiD DAY garnered a lot of interest from HR professionals from in and around Pune.
