Tejinder Singh withdraws plea from Supreme Court

Lt. Gen. (retd) Tejinder Singh Thursday withdrew his petition in the Supreme Court seeking a probe into the alleged bugging of top defence ministry officials at the behest of army chief Gen. V.K. Singh

The apex court bench headed by P. Sathasivam permitted the withdrawal of the petition after Tejinder Singh's counsel sought the liberty to move an appropriate forum to take up his allegation.

Tejinder Singh has already refuted the bribery allegations against him filed by army chief VK Singh for clearing a tranche of 600 Tatra trucks.

The CBIhas already questioned the retired armyman for six hours in connection with the Tatra deal.
