National Investigative Agency and Intelligence Bureau have been keeping a close watch on areas of Old Delhi for the past few days
It's not just tourists who are drawn by the charms of Old Delhi. For the past few days, sleuths of National Investigative Agency (NIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) have been keeping a close tab on movements in the Walled City after receiving inputs that unscrupulous elements might be hiding there andplanning an operation in the city.

"We have been developing intelligence for the past few days within the area after receiving inputs that a module might be hiding there," a senior IB official said.
Senior Delhi police officials said that they are in constant touch with intelligence agencies to thwart any possibility of an untoward incident.
"A multi-agency centre had been instituted after the Mumbai 26/11 carnage for better coordination of intelligence inputs and we take full use of it. A cop from the special cell of Delhi police, unit responsible to tackle terrorism in the city, is deputed at the police quarters to coordinate with the representatives of other states and scrutinise every intelligence input, which is shared across the country," a police official said.
Senior Delhi police officers said that it enables them to use the information, which is for their use and not for other states. "We have been receiving inputs that five-star hotels with foreigners across the city may be targeted and therefore we make sure to depute our sleuths to these establishments to monitor activities and keep a tab on the visitors," sources said.u00a0
