Shiv Sena Supremo Balasaheb Thackeray has reportedly sent a letter to Anna Hazare, via Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. Thackeray, in his letter, has said: "The war against corruption that you wanted to start has already moved across the country. The fast of eight days is now taking a toll on your health. You should stop."
Expressing concern about Anna's health, Thackeray in his letter also says the country cannot afford to lose a social activist like Hazare and he should, therefore, pay heed to his request.
Thackeray suggested the fast be taken ahead by aides like Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal.
Anna's fast entered its ninth day on Wednesday. Addressing the crowd a day before, Anna had said he wouldn't mind sacrificing his life for a cause that would benefit the country.
In the nineties, Anna Hazare had help expose several scams across Maharashtra.
