Prithvi told us his side of the story last week, now find out what Rakesh has to say...

Many people told me that, last Thursday , on this very space on the newspaper was quite wet. At first, I wondered why! But later on, I got to know that it was Prithvi crying his heart out on it...Cribbing about my absence in his life and how he feels neglected because of it? And the rigmarole follows...You know how it is, once he gets started. Off late, I've not been giving much time to Bengalooru Fatafat, as I am spear heading 'Radioone College Champions' (India's biggest reality radio challenge, training students from different colleges to host their own show on Radioone). He made such a hue and cry over it that the entire city including the cops are talking about it. Considering my super tight schedule, I don't really think he'll get much of my time to address this directly. I might as well write to him. Perhaps, a letter will do the trick.

Place: Radioone Studios

Subject: Rakesh's reply to Prithvi's hue and cry.

Dear Prithvi,
Firstly, you've got it right. Yes! I have disowned you and all that has to do with you.u00a0 For reasons many. The best of all, being: I've got something productive and meaningful to do. And that is, 'Radioone College Champions'!

If training college students to become radio professionals is "Having Fun and Flirting" according to you (as you put it in your story last week), then I really suggest you seek some psychiatric help. Radio is fun and hence teaching radio is also fun! Therefore, this comment of yours is nothing but your jealousy. God bless you!u00a0u00a0u00a0
Next, if I am hogging all the attention and adulation around (like you put it), it's because of my WORK. Try doing that once, it will change the meaning of your life.

Anyway, I am a strong believer of the virtue: 'Ignorance is bliss'. I want to practice that hard when it comes to you. Just to rub it in a little more, here's a picture of my happy new 'work family'. (Me with my college champions)u00a0

And I have just one line for you as I sign off Prithvi: 'Loners are usually left alone.' Tough luck mate!

Your most wanted,
Rakesh (MJ/Producer, 94.3, Radioone)
