When you have a 7 ft, 200 kg guy as a guest, you would probably want to ensure he's not sleep-deprived.
The Hyatt Regency at Bhikaji Cama Place in south Delhi had a giant problem on their hands when WWE wrestler The Great Khali, expressed his displeasure at the size of his bed.

Apparently, Khali, who is in the capital for a promotional event of a sports channel, was also unhappy with the size of his room at the 5-star hotel. The wrestler's flight from Los Angeles descended into Delhi at 8.05 pm on Tuesday night.

However, DS Babbar, who is organising an Indian version of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Yoddhaon Ka Sangram, where The Great Khali aka Dalip Singh Rana is a guest of honour, managed to get Khali's room upgraded, an eyewitness said.

"Khali was in touch with Babbar Saheb since he's the guest of honour at Yoddhaon Ka Sangram. And only DS Babbar had access to Khali in the hotel. It took him an hour to get the room upgraded but he succeeded. He was fuming at Khali's manager Amit Swami, and the way his accommodation was handled," said the source.

Though DS Babbar denied any such commotion, the hotel authorities confirmed that Khali had requested for a change of room at night.
"We don't know about any such furore but yes he had expressed the need to change his room at night," a spokesperson for the hotel told MiD DAY.

Larger than life

When the 200 kg giant visited MiD Day office, Noida, in May 2008, the chair that he sat on turned into a pulp, the ceiling fell short and the had to bend at the entrance. His fist size is more than the vertical size of his wife Harminder Kaur's face. How did he manage to grow this big? Well his parents are of normal stature, but his grandfather was 6 ft 6 inches tall.

"But changing of room is not easy considering the position of occupancy and high-priority guest list. Plus, the sizes of beds in all the room are same so there is no point shifting to a presidential suite or any other room. He would have fitted into the bed if he had slept diagonally," he added.

Though the spokesperson refused to divulge any further details citing confidentially as the reason, we believe that even if a king size bed, which has a mattress size of approximately 6'6" X 6'6" feet, was installed in the room, it wouldn't have sufficed for theu00a0 7'1" giant.
