Says sister Priyanka Gandhi predicting a larger role for her brother in the days to come
Says sister Priyanka Gandhi predicting a larger role for her brother in the days to comePriyanka Gandhi Vadra has said that her brother Rahul Gandhi will have to be taken seriously by everybody in the future.
"Everybody have to take Rahul ji seriously. If not today, then tomorrow. All will have to take him seriously," Priyanka said, when asked to comment on Left's alleged remarks that her brother could not become Prime Minister because Congress did not take him seriously.
She, however, refused to react when asked about her cousin Varun Gandhi's remarks that he would like to be known by his work, not by his name.
Priyanka made these comments while campaigning for her mother Sonia Gandhi at Rae Bareli yesterday.
To a query on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi saying he was being chased by SRP (Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka), she said: "My job is to campaign and not to react on statements of Narendra Modi. Let him say whatever he wants. He keeps on making such statements."
Asked why she was not joining politics, being a natural leader, Priyanka said: "I just don't feel for it from within. I am happy at home. I am very happy to be looking after my children."
She wondered why it was so difficult to understand her reasons for not joining politics, when she had already made it clear a number of times.
