A businessman was attacked by car-borne assailants near Mandi House late on Sunday night.

The accused reportedly fired around eight rounds at the businessman while he was passing through the area in his car (DL2CAK6060) and fled from the spot.
Two bullets hit the victim's car after which he halted the vehicle and made a PCR call. A senior police officer said they received a call about the incident at around 11.45 pm.
However, police did not disclose the name of the victim and said that they were busy taking his statement. "The businessman is safe. He escaped bullet injuries but two bullets hit his car," said a senior police officer.
