The city crime branch (CCB)of the police department seem to have cracked the triple murder case that occurred in Jayanagar last week.
Three women of a family, Satyabhama and her daughter-in-law Jayasree and daughter Vijalakshmi were done to death in the afternoon, probably hit on the head with coconuts.
The CCB police arrested Govinda (24), a pani puri vendor from the locality.
Govinda told them that he and Jayasree were agents of a direct marketing agency and had become associates.
The family was preparing for the thread ceremony of Jayasree's son, Shreyas (13), scheduled for February 26.
They had brought all the jewellery from the bank locker and kept it in the house. Govinda knew about this and may have murdered the women. Police recovered most of the lost jewellery from Govinda.
