A new roof-top restaurant at Kothrud serves Indian and Thai cuisine
If you walk the bylanes of Kothrud, you are unlikely to miss Pune's latest eatery, Asian Melange. The four-storey building has the look of a grand palace, and its roof-topu00a0 restaurant serves a variety of Thai and Indian dishes.
While the ground floor houses a restaurant, the second floor has a lounge and bar. But we suggest you trek to the terraceu00a0 to let chefs whip up your meal in an open-air kitchen.
We tried: The Murg Falli Zarra (Rs 145) is a good starter to pick. The aroma of the kebabs that were at our table in 10 minutes flat, had us waiting to bite into them. Those who are fond of spice might find them a tad bland, but the pudina chutney makes up for it. For main course, opt for Rahra Murg (Rs 185); a spicy blend of masalas, and the Sulemani Roti (Rs 20); stuffed with garlic, coriander and red chilli.

Service: They have a manager who tends to be disinterested. That's when he gets off the phone. The stewards are a helpful bunch, though.
