Two people from Rajasthan were held in the high security North Block of the Central Secretariat here after two live cartridges were found in their possession, a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) official said.
Mukesh Kumar and Moti Lal, both hailing from Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district, were arrested during a security check. They claimed they were trying to meet Minister of State for Finance Namo Narain Meena to invite him for a wedding, the official said.
"The incident occurred at gate number two of the North Block at around 2:20 p.m. Two live cartridges were found from their possession," the CISF official said.
Meena, a former Indian Police Service officer, represents Tonk-Sawai Madhopur constituency of the Lok Sabha in Rajasthan.
The official said the duo had earlier gone to the minister's residence in the capital to invite him for the wedding.
