Pune: Two major accidents were reported on the MuÂmÂbai-Pune Expressway killiÂng two people and seriously injuring one on Friday morning. As a result, traffic on both sides was moving at snail's pace.
According to the expressway control officer, "Two separate accidents happÂened around 8.30 am and 9 am, one on the Pune lane and the other on the Mumbai lane."
According to the Khalapur police, "In the first accident, a car was hit by an unidentified vehicle leaving one person dead. In the other accident that took place at the Khopoli exit, a container crashed into a car, leaving a woman dead and her husband in critical condition."

In the first accident the victim's identity is yet to be confirmed, while in second, the woman has been identified as Sajida Gulbargi, 60, while her husband has been identified as Abdul Gulbargi, 70.
