Two men stabbed in a robbery bid

Syed Firdose (22) and Syed Asif (18) were stabbed near old Guddadahalli Shani temple yesterday night around 9 pm.

Syed Wasim (23) who was with Firdose and Asif, said, "We were standing near the temple where a youth tried to snatch our phone and wallet.

As he failed to do so, he pulled a knife from his pocket and attacked Asif, and injured his face.

Then he stabbed Firdose on his chest."

"We caught hold of his hand and snatched the knife and handed over him to the JJ Nagar police, and lodged a complaint.

We took Firdose and Asif to the Victoria Hospital for treatment," he added.

The attacker, identified as Nawaz, is involved in many robbery cases.
